Trekkers Tavern Cottages are located 2 km from the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters at Ruhija making them an ideal location for visitors planning to track the gorillas. The cottages are a great base for birdwatching and community walks. Trekker Tavern Cottages has some of the best views of the volcanic mountains. If you sit on our balcony on a clear day, you may be lucky enough to see all the seven Virunga volcanoes.  You may even see as far as Lake Edward, a lake that is famous for separating Uganda from the DRC. The River Nile runs through Murchison Falls National Park into Lake Edward. We have eight self-contained cottages with power sockets for charging cameras and phones. The dining area has WiFi at all times (although we should add that in remote areas the signal may not be as good as you are used to back home). Trekkers Tavern Cottages are in Ruhija on the south side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Ruhija is 52 km from Kampala and 502 km from Entebbe.
